👋 Hi, I'm Luke Haas, the creator and sole developer of RunJS.

I built RunJS in 2019 to scratch my own itch. I kept wanting to try out a few lines of JavaScript, and every option was slower than it should have been: a temporary file, a browser console that forgot everything on refresh, or an online playground that made me log everything to see what it evaluated to. I wanted something that opened instantly, ran the code, and showed me the result of every expression.

It turned out plenty of other developers wanted the same thing. Today RunJS is used by professionals to prototype and debug, and by teachers and students who like the fast feedback loop when learning to code.

RunJS is self-funded and independent. There are no investors to answer to, so the only thing that shapes the product is what makes it better for the people using it.

It's also a one-person operation. Every feature request and support question lands with me, the person who wrote the code. If you get in touch, you'll get a reply from someone who knows the product inside out, not a chatbot. 😊
